It is very important your photos be of a high enough resolution so they reproduce well on the items you order. Photos taken with low-resolution cameras may not appear sharp and smooth on most items. A three-mega pixel camera is the minimum resolution camera that will yield acceptable results. Set your camera on the highest possible quality setting when taking pictures.
TO ASSURE YOU WILL BE PLEASED WITH YOUR ORDER - DO THE FOLLOWING...
Before emailing us your photo(s) TRY THIS - PRINT them on photo quality paper - in a full 8 inch by 10 inch size. Examine the print-out.
Does the printed photo appear smooth to the eye, or does it appear to be made up of thousands of noticeable small colored-squares? If so, that’s called pixelation. Pixelated photos WILL NOT yield quality products.
Scanned Photos - if scanning a photo, set the scanner at a minimum of 200 dpi (300 is better). Or, send us the photograph and we will scan it for you - and return it when your project is completed.
We will carefully evaluate the images you send us and, if we think there will be “quality issues”, we will contact you. You might even want us to evaluate the photos PRIOR to completing the payment process giving you the option of deciding whether or not to use the photos.
Our process supports several picture file formats. Each has different trade-offs between file size and quality. There are two preferred formats.
PNG - Portable Network Graphics format, and JPEGs
PSD - PhotoShop Documents are OK though if you send us a PSD file we can convert it to the PGN or JPEG format.
The following formats are not supported:
TIFF - Tag Image File Format
BMP - MS Windows Bitmap Format
AI- Adobe Illustrator Not Acceptable
EPS - Encapsulated PostScript
